GUACAMOLE

Ingredients

  • 2 Avocados

  • ½ cup (20g) Chopped Cilantro

  • 3 cloves (9g) Garlic, minced

  • ½ cup (75g) Red Onion, finely chopped

  • 1 Lime, juiced

  • 1 Jalapeño, finely chopped

  • Salt, to taste

Method

  1. Mash the Avocados – In a bowl, mash the avocados to your preferred texture.

  2. Mix in Ingredients – Add the cilantro, garlic, red onion, lime juice, jalapeño, and salt. Mix until well combined.

This recipe is a guideline—you need to adjust for taste. To get it as perfect as it can be, you have to taste it as you go. The measurements provided worked for me, so you’ll have a good finished product, but always taste. These additional notes mirror the Pico De Gallo notes.

Ripe avocados are imperative. I hate to say it, because it requires the effort of going to the grocery store and picking out the perfect avocados, but you don't want to do this using unripe avocados.

Ripe avocados are slightly soft after giving them a light squeeze. Go to your local grocery store and caress the avocados in your free time—eventually, you'll learn how to pick the right ones.
